The Eldred World War II Museum
| The Blue Room features items from many diverse arenas. The China-Burma-India Front is detailed using posters and artifacts. Headgear of the Allied nations, depicting what the soldiers of each country wore on their head going into battle, is displayed. The exploits of the 96th Division at Okinawa is also chronicled in the Blue Room. The End of the War display is also in the Blue Room. |
The Blue Room also features an authentic World War II periscope, giving visitors the
opportunity to "look out from the sea".
Numerous Pacific Theater campaigns arecovered, including the Battle of the Philippines
and Iwo Jima. Various World War II vidoes play in the Blue Room, including several "Private
Snafu" films.
The Blue Room also serves as a reception area in the museum, furnished with tables and
chairs.
