The Eldred World War II Museum
| Tank Mountain presents visitors with a chance to test their skills. Using a remote controlled tank, operators have to navigate the battle-torn terrain to reach the top of the mountain. The Tank Mountain room also features an authentic World War II command post equipped with period equipment, including a telephone, |
communications switchboard, pot bellied stove and typewriter.
The Wall of Valor also resides in Tank Mountain. Framed portraits hang honoring
veterans, workers on the home front and Medal of Honor recipients. Other exhibits include
the Battle for France and the Battle of the Bulge. Paratroopers are also featured in the
room, displaying the gear these soldiers would have taken with them into battle.
